Cancel your insurance during the cooling-off period

Have you taken out an insurance policy but changed your mind? You can make use of the statutory 14-day cooling-off period. This period starts on the day you receive your policy documents. During this period, you can cancel your insurance free of charge and without giving a reason.

Please note: If you cancel your insurance during the cooling-off period, your policy will be cancelled with effect from the start date of the insurance. This means you will not have been insured during the period between taking out and cancelling the policy. Any claims or losses that occur during this period will not be covered.
